Should i report elder abuse?

About 1.5 months ago my 86 yr old grandmother had a stroke and tests found out she had severel mini strokes also. in the hospital she wasnt allowed out of bed and she just kept trying to get up and acting a lil crazy. the dr told my mom that the dendrites in her brain were disconnecitng. She came home from the hosp in a week. She's now in herapartment with her live in aide and a hospice nurse comes 3x a week. She is in a hospital bed.She is restrained. She NEVER gets out of bed. no one ever takes her out and thelive in is not good, she doesn't turn her in her bed at all because she says shes "afraid" to. i'm just a kid no one listens to me but i know NO ONE should just be strapped in bed 24/7 for months. my father hates her (his mother) because she phsysically abused him when he was a kid. she also emotionally abused me but no one deserves to just be strapped in a bed how she is. can i report this for abuse? i dont think shes fed enough either as shes lost alot of weight and has sores

also if this is elder abuse where or how do i report it? i need it to be anonymous or ill get in trouble

If this is really going on, I am surprised Hospice hasn't said anything. Your grandmother should be turned every 4-6 hours, and if she can't eat should be fed through a tube.
You can call your local police dept. hot line and report anonymously.
Or if you look in the front of your phone book you will find under seniors a place to report elder abuse.
If these things really aren't going on and you report them it could get you in trouble.
The sores you claim she has are pressure sores an they do not go away over night. Hospice has patches that can be put on those to heal them. If you are big enough you can turn her on her side and prop hr back with a doubled up pillow, change her to her back a few hours later and then turn her to the other side and prop again with the pillow. Spend some time with her, try to get her to eat, like maybe some yogurt, which is easy to swallow, some strokes leave people unable to swallow, make sure she drinks plenty of water.
She may be restrained because she would be a danger to herself or others, and she may fall and break a hip or leg.
Is there an adult you can trust to talk to before you turn to the authorities. Your pastor, teacher, counselor.?
In any case good luck

Yes I think it's abuse. You could go to the police and tell them you don't want anyone to know it was you who told or write an anonymous letter to them. They will know what to do from there.
