Best source for End of Life care? comfort measures, family issues, etiology, etc?

needing some serious answers only please. Any other nurses out there? hospice nurses would be GREAT! Need this ASAP for a big project.. doing some research, but figured this may be a good place to ask.
Need specifics also about such things related to this as pathophysiology, etiology, and perhaps some social workers info in this field.

PLEASE! ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS

what I'm looking for isn't for any specific disease.. it's for End of Life Care in general .... I realize there are diff pathophysiology situations for each patient.. i need something that will help with generalized End of Life care... i may center in on one or two specific areas/diseases but in general, i need some pointing to a good "general " resource.. i know this sounds vague and that's why i need the help in finding it.. don't know where to start! :)

The best source for end of life care? It depends on the condition of the patient. Is this a terminal patient? Is this a long-term care patient? End-of-life care takes place in settings other than hospice. Not sure why you'd need to know the pathophys or etiology. Need to define "family issues". If you can be a bit more specific about what it is you want, I'd be happy to help. E-mail me at nurselmh@sbcglobal.net and let's get to work.

Taz, I saw your other question about an online degree without clinicals. Gee, why would you want to skip that? You'll be practicing new skills and experiencing new environments and situations. You can't do that online. Call the GA Board of Reg. Nursing and ask if you do this will you be eligible to take boards? While somes state boards of nursing accept online education and will allow you to do your clinicals at any convenient hospital as long as you have a preceptor, I know of no board that will allow you to take the NCLEX without clinicals at all.

Taz, check w/your state RN board about omitting clinicals. Have you started a CVL? Pushed IV meds? For end-of-life e-mail me at nurselmh@sbcglobal.net. I think I understand better what you want. Report It
