Hi, could anyone tell me if there are laws in place that make sure nurses/doctors ect take extended time off after working so many hours? With the nursing shortage, recent changes have allowed employers (hospitals, etc.) to allow nurses to work more hours with less guaranteed pay. Nurses are coverd by state & federal regulations, and may also be covered by union rules. So you need to check with your local union office, or a lawyer as to any applicable rules.
