What's an 'apoklistiki' in Greek? |
The journal article I am reading keeps referring to it but hasn't clarified exactly what it is. Is it a nurse? Yes, it's a nurse. 'Apokleistiki' [伪蟺慰魏位喂蔚蟽蟿喂魏萎]means 'exclusive' or 'private'. In Greece people often want a nurse to look after a single patient, so they hire an apokleistiki from an agency. try this translation site, ;o) Nurse.... its a nurse ya 3asal! The most common translation (albeit not much easier to understand) is "private quasi-nurse". Apparently there are very few regular nurses in Greece, and therefore the shortfall in patient care is often filled by privately employed carers known as apoklistiki. Often they are immigrants, and their main function is personal care. They are usually privately employed to look after a specific patient. yes its a nurse. |
