How do i do on-line research without getting only purchase hits?

i'm trying to research the nurse's role in in-vitro fertilization but i only get hits for amazon and pay-only journals. i know its been a long time since i've researched a topic (what? three years?) but seriously i should be able to get a little info!

First of all I google a lot of answers- but be sure to look at the CACHED when researching ok?

First of all, use dogpile instead of google - it's a meta engine of engines.

Second, search on a "technical" term, not in-vitro, but something that only medical personnel would use - much more likely to get hits.

There is a webite bugmenot that has fake id's and passwords to get into alot of those journals for free.

Your local public library should have databases you can surf from home. If you're trying to do serious research, the Internet is not the place. Use the LIBRARY.

Try about.com pregnancy forum even if you don't find what you want there the head of that forum can direct you to some great site just email her or set up a live chat.
