Can someone tell me how to report an emt in a different town for slander? |
I use to work as a cna for this nursing home, and I got fired illegally. Now this EMT is accusing me of being the aid that work when another resident was killed (aspirated). I believe that a LPN that still works there is also saying the same thing...I was not working that shift the day this person died and I believe the family is going to try to take advantage of me by believing with these two people say. Any help How can I complain on this emt, I have friends that are emts and it seems to me that they believe him over me. Is there any organization I can report him to you cant really do anything about slander.. but if the family decides to sue and brings you into the case, the nursing home will have records of who worked that day and who was with each pt... remember if it wasnt documented, it didnt happen, if you weren't there then you cant be blamed.. unless of course she died on your shift and it was proven.. slander is a private action, of no concern to the taxpaying public. There is no one to report it to, because you are the only person with any concern. That is why we have civil courts, for the redress of private grievances at the expense of the parties, not at the expense of the taxpayers. |
