Licensed Practical Nurse or Cisco Certified Network Associate? |
If you were to choose between doing Lpn or cisco certified network associate (ccna) which will you do? CCNA. If you become an LPN you will probably be working at a long term care facility (i.e. nursing home). This is very hard work, usually understaffed and frequently with very unscrupulous employers. Let me preface this by saying that I have a CCNA and have worked in IT for 12 years. Having a CCNA is nice, along with practical work experience. I've interviewed lots of candidates for networking jobs, and whether or not they had a CCNA would have no influence on my decision one way or another. |
