Nurse Shoplifts? |
I was recently caught shoplifting and am a LPN. I was given a misdemeanor and paid the fines that all. I am wondering if i will lose my nursing liscense or my job if they find out??? any help is greatly appreciated Not absolutely sure, but if it were a felony then maybe you would really have a concern, being a misdemeanor may not be so bad. Were you stealing bandages and ointment? I THINK YOU WOULD LOOSE YOUR JOB. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT LICENSE. If your licensure board has a "moral turpitude" rule, you very well could. This is a very bad position to be in, my wife is a nurse. The industry action towards this problem will be very hard on you. Make sure that the information is disclosed to a prospective employer before you take a job and always make sure that you have started a job before you leave the old job. it depends what you were shoplifting Ask to see your employee handbook. |
