LPN Program Advice.? |
I want to become a nurse and work in a clinic setting, could lpn's get jobs in clinics. What would they be doing and how much could they make. Thanks for any advice and information. Yes, LPNs can work in clinics. They would be responsible for taking vitals and discussing the patient's current medical complaints before the doctor sees them. Some places may have them perform quick assessments, give injections, or teach/explain the instructions given by the doctor. As with any nursing job, there is also some amount of paperwork involved. LPNs at clinics generally make less than ones working in hospitals or long-term care facilities. It depends on the state, but in PA (where I live) I think it is generally between $9 and $15/hour. Get your RN from a hospital school of nursing or a communit college. LPN's are used less and less in many settings. |
