Is an medical assistant higher than an LPN(licensed practical nurse)?

Is an medical assistant higher than an LPN(licensed practical nurse)?

Some medical assistants run doctors offices. The training takes six months. LPN training takes 12-18 months.

each have different duties to perform. nobody is higher than another. lpn usually is paid at a higher rate and needs more schooling

They have different types of training and provide different expertise. I wouldn't place one higher than the other.

The Medical Assistant can be licensed or unlicensed and usually performs administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, and other health practitioners running smoothly.

An LPN is a nurse that has completed a practical nursing program which is usually longer and more patient care oriented than a Medical Assistant. They are licensed by a state to provide routine patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or a physician. Usually an LPN works in a hospital or an assisted living facility, but they can also work in a physician's office.
