Women seek flawed men. True or False?

Some days ago I heard this theory, which I haven't been able to disprove. It seems to explain what makes women tick, more than anything I've ever heard. My friend told me: women seek men with one or more serious flaws. Women have a biological predisposition to feel useful and needed (thus safe) as 'nurses'. They become the critical helper, not to be dumped, for they and only they can deal and heal her man's problems. To say that women want to compliment their man is an understatement. Women want to be their 'nurses' would be the correct statement according to this theory.
I have finally started to understand why women, so often, make terrible choices. ....and why ugly men marry... and why I, a single, successful male, am single at age 41, by having become too 'perfect' and independent. Women have nothing to nurse in me. Maybe if I cut an arm.... what do you guys think?

There is an element in the theory - yes - we do like to feel needed. DON'T MEN?

But I would prefer to think that women - when they discover the flaws in the men that they fall in love with (and who doesn't have any flaws) - women will stand by that man and attempt to help them through it or resolve it or overcome it.

Too many men I have heard off take to the hills the moment that life throws them a curved ball - if she gets fat? RUN. If she cries in public when he disrespects her - RUN. If she tells her friends that the man she loves beats her when he gets drunk in front of the kids RUN. etc., etc.

But as with all things to generalize is to minimize - so - as with your theory.

There is good and bad in everyone.
Well - except you of course - being as you are successful, good looking and so, so modest. Oh yes - um, and alone.

Perhaps, just maybe - not everyone agrees with you.
But there again - it shouldn't worry you because you are not a needy nursey woman are you?

There are worse things one could be - I can think of at least one!

Everyone is flawed, everyone has moments of weakness, if you're not willing to be real no one will want to waste their time.

My mom was this type of woman, and she always picked screwed up guys because, I think it gave her a sense of power and control. Women don't want perfect men, which is good for me, but I don't want a perfect woman either. But what you say is true of many women, but i don't know if women are to blame for this, cause us guys certainly reap a lot of the rewards. All men want a nurturing woman, if they didn't they'd go out with men instead, since women are nurturers and men are protectors. Of course we all have those qualities. You definately make a good point. And maybe you also enjoy the life of a bachelor.

Everyone attracts a certain type based on your appearence and how you represent yourself... If you feel the need to attract a certain type then mirror there behavior. But that in the end will only fulfill your immeadiate desires...

My advice is to find your balance? Write down a list of things that attract the type of woman you are interested in... Then select a few things out of this list not all but a few and apply them to your daily life. That is okay as long as it doesn't take to much away from who you are on the inside.
