What do you prefer?

My friend is scaring me. I went to the gyno and it was a male doctor and I had no problem with that since a female nurse was present in the room the whole time. My friend is going in for her first gyno visit and I was explaining to her what they do and she kept asking me why I had a male doctor and all these other questions. Does it really matter if your gyno is male or female? For me I just got who they gave me. She I want a female doctor? Does anyone else out there have a male gyno?

Mine is male. I went for the first time and I was so scared that I didn't even notice he was a he until I left. It didn't bother me, just as long as he knew what he was doing.

I have one. He even practices in the bedroom at home.

most of them are male, which I have used, but personally I prefer a female and have requested a female for the past several years. But a male is fine, as they say once they have seen one they have seen them all, they are just doing their job it is all a matter of personal choice for you and your friend.

My wife has a female gynecologist, however, a patient can request a woman or no preference. I can assure you that the male doctor is more concerned about finding everything normal rather than what y'all look like.

Trust me, he's seen all shapes, all sizes. He's not in it for any sort of sexual thrill. I've got a male gyno, and its never bothered me- from my experience, male gyno's actually tend to be a bit more thorough. If it bothers you, switch, but otherwise, I don't see why it would be an issue.

I have had a male doctor more often than a female. I don't really care, as long as there is always a nurse in the room. But, the last female doctor I had was really good and it seemed like she was more understanding and caring for some reason. That was nice.
