The urge to out?

I am transgender, male to female since the early 80s and have worked many years as a nurse (qualified). I do not claim to be female or male but I do claim to be what I am, and am begining to resent having to hide from that.

On forms that I have to complete, when it comes to sex I place another box there saying 'other'.

I have the fear of this becomming a problem for me, any suggesstions welcomed. Thank you

Be who you are, be transgender if that is you, but, sometimes we have to do things we dont like in order to help out ourselves.

You said it may become a problem writing other on a sheet, what is the problem and how is it going to effect you? Are you going to be worse off from this problem, is writing 'other' on a sheet of paper, and what that represents, worth the hassle and effort going to be required of you as a result?

Basically think of whats best for you, and act on that.

You can always represent yourself as who you are in your life in every area, but some have more effect and signifigance than others.

Does it matter that this sheet, and where the sheet is going, to represent you as other? Or would it be better for you to avoid the problem lying ahead, and invest your time and energy dealing with that problem in other more powerful signifigant ways of represting yourself as other. or however you want to be represented as you are.

Think outside of the box, and think of the greater good for yourself, and what you are trying to achieve. It may be a b**ch at times, to not write other on a sheet as example, or to hide at times, but we all have to do it sometimes in life, and make sure you then place that energy into something else and that its for the best in the end. You sound very strong and couragous already, I hope you do well.

you went through an operation form being male to female and now you wont admit you are what you are now you are female you should be proud of it and stop denying what you are you are a human being you are female stop denying it its simple u are what you wanted to be now act like it!
