of course a male can be a nurse.please do not forget the fact that its a profession.Depending on the grade you work as(based on your experience and professional qualifications) you are eligible to receive an attractive salary. thus its definitely worth it to me a nurse for a male.!!!!

Yes a man can be a nurse - many are. The money is reasonable and you could live on it quite happily, of course it could always be more, but so could any job.

Well, I hear the nurses (male or female) are in high demand becuase of the shortage, and more apparently, the increasing population of old people..(baby boomers). So, if I had no other option; if I hadn't already chosen Accounting as a carreer, I might have picked nursing. The money, and benefits are outrageous!

"Nurse" has been sterotyped by movies and entertainment. A person of either gender can be a professional in this field, it can be life rewarding and it has significant value to the patients who recieved treatment, in this respect they may live to see another day and function in this world.

There is nothing funny about a male being a nurse, there should not be a difference either, in terms of money, if a male trains to become a nurse just the same as a female then they would both be as qualified as each other, and not one better than the other. I have had many stays in hospitals in my time and most of the time I would have more male nurses looking after me than females, and I have to say that they are sometimes better at the care because females get caught up in the gossip and other things and tend to just "do" the job rather than care. I would like to say that I have also had some very nice female nurses look after me, and really if a male wants to be a nurse then good on him, don't put a man down because of the work he does...
