A certain Drug, what is it ?

I recieved a drug, a painkiller, while in the ER. a year ago. It made
me feel, as if I had no body, 2 male nurses helped me to the
restroom. And at one instant, I suddenly felt I had no body..I was light a feather, not even 2 lbs, did I feel. This was only for a about
4-5 seconds, real quick. What sort of Drug can make a person feel
weightless ? I have taken all sort of illegal drugs as a teen...and at
a hospital, or by perscription. I've had morphine, it made me sick.
I threw up for 2 days. I have a feeling I may have died for those
seconds....because 1 moment I was feeling my body, and the next
I'm totally weightless,..as if I am air. Then back to feeling my body
again..I just kept thinking,.."so , this is what death feels like..being in Spirit". I felt that very strongly. Can any drug cause that to
happen ? I know of many painkillers,..and I've never heard of this.
My conclusion is,...I had to have died in that instant.

No, I don't take drugs. In my youth. And no,
it wasn't a "dissociative" episode. I know
the difference of all of these. There is no
explanation...other than what I have said...

I wish I knew what drug they gave you however strange, it does make me wonder if you were passing over. I wonder if you were over medicated by error on the anesthesiologist. part. I have never heard of a drug that can make a person feel that way. Perhaps you should mention that to your Doctor as I'm certain he would know the real answer.

there are many that can do that even some non narcotic ones

I doubt you died, but maybe your blood pressure dropped low while you were up. Commonly used drugs for pain are:Fentanyl, Dilaudid, Demerol, Morphine, rarely :Stadol. Sometimes for procedures:Versed is used.

Maybe it was demerol or some type of epidural.

No, you didn't die. But you could if you keep messing with all those drugs. They are dangerous. Let's think about all the famous people who have died young because of drugs and alcohol. Do you want to join them? If you go through that door, there's no returning....

Lots of painkillers in high doses can cause that effect, I doubt that you died...you were just spaced out!

Sounds like a drug to me. Sounds like morphine, given via injection. I had it once and that is exactly how it felt. Weightless, painless, floating. That is why people get hooked on heroin.

No, i doubt you died. You wouldn't know you were dying if you actually were dying.

It was probably just a severe drop in blood pressure mixed with some hardcore painkiller that made you feel weightless. Your brain was probably playing tricks on you.

everybody has different reactions but demerol is pretty common especially in the hospital setting

As everyone else has mentioned, couple have many any number of drugs or drug and situation in combination.

The term for what you are describing is (most likely) a "dissociative" episode.
