This are series from the 80s...
was wondering whatever happened to Fred Savage.
I used to have this big crush on him. The last show I saw him was this Office series, cant remember the title...
And Ricky Schroder from Silver Spoons... the last I saw of him was in Scrubs when he was the male nurse who hooked up with Elliot.
Im sorry Im just a bit nostalgic here. :)
Just wondering what happened to them. Fred's been around, doing different things. He was in one of the Austin Powers movies, I think it was the last one, the one that Beyonce was in.
Rick Schroder (sp?) was in some primetime network drama in the last year or two, but I don't recall which one. I don't watch a lot of the big networks, I just remember seeing him in the commercial for the show a few times. Seems like maybe he was a doctor, maybe it was a medical show. I loved Wonder Years, it was one of my favorite shows growing up. I don't know what happened to fred though. Danika Mckellar though, is some kind of math genius and went to UCLA after the show. I watch the wonder years Yeah I liked the Wonder Years. I always wanted to stick a yard of dick inside of Winnie Cooper. Whatever happened to her? Anyways, the local station plays reruns two times every night M-F. I watch it occasionally After The Wonder Years, Savage primarily did guest and supporting roles, including an appearance on the television show Boy Meets World (which starred his brother Ben) and in the film Austin Powers in Goldmember as 'Number Three'.
He has also lent his voice to several animated projects, including Kim Possible, Justice League, Oswald, and Holidaze: The Christmas That Almost Didn't Happen.
His two lead roles since The Wonder Years were on the short-lived sitcoms Working and Crumbs.
Beginning with episodes of Boy Meets World in 1993, Savage began a directing career in which he helmed episodes of over a dozen youth-oriented series. His credits include Drake & Josh and Ned's Declassified for Nickelodeon, as well as That's So Raven and Hannah Montana for the Disney Channel.
Besides directing several episodes, Savage co-produced the Disney Channel Original Series Phil of the Future. In 2007, he was nominated for a Directors Guild award for the Phil episode "Not-So-Great-Great Grandpa".
Savage will make his theatrical film directorial debut on 2007's Daddy Day Camp.
Schroder's co-starring role in the Western mini-series Lonesome Dove and its sequel, Return to Lonesome Dove, helped Schroder's attempt to be recognised as a mature actor. Still, it came as a surprise to much of the public when he was chosen to act in the series NYPD Blue, notorious for its partial nude scenes. Schroder only acted in NYPD Blue for three years, preferring to leave Hollywood with his family to live full-time on the family's ranch in Colorado. This ranch has since been put on the market for $29,000,000, and has apparently sold. He commuted to the set of Strong Medicine, whose cast he joined for a two-year contract starting in 2005, and appeared in films even as he built a log cabin on his ranch. Schroder also appeared in several episodes of the second season of the comedy series Scrubs as nurse Paul Flowers.
Starting in 2007, Schroder has become a recurring character on the hit FOX show 24 as CTU agent Mike Doyle. In 2004, Schroder directed and starred in the music video for "Whiskey Lullaby", a song by Brad Paisley. This music video won an award.
[edit] Personal life
Schroder lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Brittany, and their four children. He is a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Schroder made an appearance on stage at the 2000 Republican National Convention, endorsing Presidential candidate George W. Bush. He is also a member of the National Rifle Association.
Schroder has been playing chess since he was 7 years old and revealed that he and Kiefer Sutherland play chess on the set of 24.
On the January 9, 2007 edition of CNN's Larry King Live, Schroder announced he was changing his name back to Ricky. 鈥淵ou know, I was 18 or 19, my agents said, "You know, you should change your name to Rick. It'll help grow up from a kid to an adult." And I've learned the last 20 years it takes more than dropping a letter from your name to help you grow up. And so I'm more comfortable being called Ricky. And so I'm going back to Ricky. It is Ricky when I was a kid. And my wife, my mom, everybody calls me Ricky. So I'm going to let that -- Rick never felt right. I felt like I was trying to be something I wasn't鈥?[2 I used to watch the Wonder Years. I think I've seen just about every episode of that show. My cousin used to make fun of Danica McKellar (Winnie) saying she looks like a pug.
Silver Spoons, not so much. I think I saw Ricky Schroeder on American Idol. He was an audience. Yes, I enjoyed those shows. |
