Is it possible to charge someone in the medical field for rape after 3 years have passed? |
I cannot believe I am asking this...however it is eating me alive.I suffer from a serious condition which required alot of conscious sedation, after coming to I has a male nurse raping me as I came too.I was terrified shocked and extremley left truamatized.I had kept quiet cause I was so humiliated and didnt know what to do.Now the woulda coulda shouldas are killling me this man is still out there however no longer working in this hospital.Help! salman your response ripped my heart out!!!! It is now what will I get it out of it....it is I can put a stop and save some other poor suol from experciencing the pain I have and am.to all others thanks a million form the bottom of my heart I am going to continue on my journey one way or another I will be at piece Please contact your nearest YWCA or rape crisis center. They have a well trained staff to help you in all your needs in this area. If you don't know, send me a blind/blind message through server and I will personally research facilities in your area. All I will ask is your nearest city. contact a lawyer, they will be able to tell you the details. Sure...there is no statute of limitations on serious felonies. Contact the police in that jurisdiction and file a report. It depands on your state law. you can call the Sheriff's Dep. and ask them what the limit of years is to fill a report.Good Luck Go to cops NOW!!! I believe it is 2 yrs after the actual offense, i have been on jury duty in the past 12 months and that is what i heard. Consult a solicitor asap. I think the statute of limitations on rape is 7 years, but I am not sure and it may vary from state to state. Get a good lawyer. There is a good chance this person has done it before and will do it again. Good luck. Check with your police authorities or an attorney. You might also check with medical people, but probably not where it happened since there might be a possibility of suing them. If there is a legal aid available, they might also know. forget about it.. Most states have a 7 year statute of limitations. Talk to a county attorney to find out what your chances are. In a case like this, I would say the hospital could be liable as well for hiring him. Also you could probably file a civil court case if you can find a lawyer to do it. Sounds like you could use some counseling in the meantime. Even if the chances are slim for your not having your day in court, the trauma won't go away on it's own. I hope you take this advice & get yourself well, mentally. I care. Good luck! go see a lawyer, in the very least you can face your attacker in court. |
