Do you think there should be a word which means "male nurse"? Doesn't it sound gay to call a guy a nurse? |
Don't you think there needs to be another term to call a male nurse so people wouldn't make fun of them. yes, i have to agree with u... Murse?? You are totally right. My son is a nurse and we call him a murse. M for man and urse from the rest of the word "nurse" Murse Doctor's assistant? How about "Doctor" yaaaaa. were you thinking of that because you just whatched the movie "meet the falkers"? thats the first thing i thought of u have any ideas very true i agree. you could call him a doctors assistant It all depends on the way people look at it. If you think that's a job that only women can do, then of course calling a man a "male nurse" would sound weird. On the other hand, you could be that male or know someone who is a nurse and not see it that way at all. Too bad for stereotypes! but thats what they are so.... they are not nureses, mureses dude murses! how 'bout a murse? lol. no seriously, there's nothing wrong with callin a guy a nurse, definitely nothing gay about it. besides, as a female, i would prefer male nurses. only immature people make fun of them. A nurse is a nurse whether they're male of female they both do the same job. A nurse is a profession, there is no need to define is the worker is male or female, it only encourages sexism. that doesn't sound gay its all in your noggin No. I think people should just stop making fun of male nurse's. Why is it gay? and whats wrong with it sounding gay? Man or woman, being a nurse is a very noble profession. l HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT it sounded gay,how about male guardian Wow, never thought that calling my male collegues nurses sounded gay, but if it makes you feel uncomfortable or calls into question your manliness, then just refer to male nurses as RNs. well these days, it doesnt really matter anymore. jobs arent as sex typed as they used to be. so you could probably use murse. or male assistant. Just call nurses nurse, regardless of what sex they are. Who started this anyway? No, Do you think a female Doctor should have a diffrent name ? why does it matter? really? there isnt anything wrong with a guy being called a nurse...that fine...ppl just like to mess things up... I think it's a great idea. You might have to think of an all-new word that would apply to male and female nurses alike, though, like "flight attendant" instead of stewardess. No one is called a stewardess anymore. And there are no female "mailmen," only "mail carriers," which applies to both. Check it out how the English language changes! you're just a massive ball of insecurity aren't ya son? Why do you assume you have to be a female to be a nurse? Does that mean only a man can be a doctor, or should there be a separate word so that people don't think the dr. is a lesbian. |
