What is euglycemic?


just definition of the word. i know it has to do with diabetes/insulin; the only thing I can find online is a euglycemic clamp, and the word is not in my medical surgical nursing book. thanks

Normal blood sugar level

"Euglycemic" refers to someone who has "euglycemia," which would have given you better search results. Anyway, euglycemia is a normal level of glucose (sugar) in the blood.

Hyperglycemic -- high blood sugar
Euglycemic -- normal blood sugar
Hypoglycemic -- low blood sugar
