What drugs should a med-surg nurse be most familiar with? coumadin, lasix, potassium, cardizem, lopressor, pepcid, aspirin, digoxin, metformin, glucophage, all insulins...actually its probally easier to learn the cardiac drugs. youll have a wider variety on m/s. but i touched on a bunch of common ones. |

For experience I would take the step down unit job.
