Would a medical-surgical nurse earn almost or close to as much a doctor would earn in salary annually ? and aren't they special types of nurses ? Med/surg is just basically your typical nurse. Med/surg is the general unit of the hospital. also, no nurse earns what doctors make, although Nurse practitioners and registered nurse anesthetists can come close to the low end, but they have six years of education. Med-surg nurses are not specialized nurses. RNs can make as much as $75,000 a year. Nurse practitioners can make up to $90,000 a year. |
