Need help on possible interview questions?

Hi, ive just applied for a job on a neonatal ward and by luck i have an interview. i do have all the relevant qualifications (nursery nursing) but i was just wondering if anybody knew what kind of questions i might be asked. im very interested yet so oblivious as what i may be in for. all answers appreciated.

I don't know specifically about the interviewing process for nursing positions, but something I've seen becoming more and more popular in interviews is Behavioral Interviewing. Instead of asking you questions like "What would you do when ......" , or "Can you suggest a way to handle ....." , Behavioural Interviewing asks "Tell me about a time when ........". The questions are designed to determine if you have particular skill sets based on examples of what you've done and how you've handled situations in the past.

Yes most of these type of jobs ask senarios type questions.
Common ones being: Can you think of a mistake youve made and how you dealt with it.

What would you do if a patients relatives came to you upset,

What if you saw another member of staff behaving inappropriatly.

How do you handle stress.

It would also be usefull to plan how you are going to relate your past experience with this job, and make spending time with the patients your first priority.
