I want to be a....?

a billingual neonatal nurse, but i get woozy at the sight of blood. Do you think I could get over that?

I agree with Tstw, only a small amount of blood should come out if at all when drawing blood. I am also a nurse. I think you could get over it. I also can not deal with a large amount of blood, particularly in surgery, so I definitely chose to stay away from that, but on the other hand it seems wierd that I can deal with a large amount of blood otherwise, it must just be the OR. HMMMM.... I think you can accomplish anything you want to if you want it bad enough. Good Luck.

Oh I am a nurse and I don't like the sight of blood but who does? You shouldn't really encounter much blood except a small amout when you draw it or put in an IV in the neonatal unit. Good Luck though.

Yahoo sucks.

good luck!..
..you could get over that,..
just always pray for it!
..God will guide you...
God bless..tc!

ABSOLUTELTY!!!! when i went into ems i was totally terrified of needles, no i dont mind so as long as they dont stick me, you become desensitized to things like that in the medical field you develop a tolerance for thinkg you typically could not in order to care for your patients. you should go for it

Buddy! No one can guarantee except your own self.
You need to work hard on self-nerve-control. However, wooziness may re-ignite any time, even after years of normal sailing. My personal experience is as follows as it occures to me:

In 1969
In 1985
In 1987
In 2001
In 2006
Though on several critical occasion I was very normal as I fought to control.
Good luck anyway...just give a try you may succede
