Can someone help me? |
I have always wanted to be a neonatal nurse and i still do. But i am now thinking of opening a home for unwed pregnant teenagers. Can anyone give me some advice or maybe some pros and cons of each? As a neonatal nurse, you could have the opportunity to work in the community with organizations to help educate and care for unwed pregnant teenagers. In nursing, educating patients and community involvment is encouraged, and your training will provide you with many opportunities to work with community programs that value your skills. You will also have a huge amount of employment opportunities in a field where the profession is in demand, guaranteeing a salary and benefits (for instance, you could work in a neonatal unit per diem, as needed, for extra income and benefits). That is such a great cause. Volunteering for the Nurturing Network or your local crisis pregnancy center would be a great place to start! You should do it! Opening a home is a 24/7/365 thing. It is not a job it is a mission. They will completely consume all aspects of your life. It will be a great blessing, but also, if something were to happen in your life, you would have absolutely no time or energy to address it. It would also be the greatest blessing of your life. You could make long term relationships and truly help someone for the rest of their life. It will also kill your finances!!!!!!! Go for it, god will bless and reward you. You are helping teens in need. i say go for it theres so many teens in need and they get help with insurance and things like that but no one evr helps with the housing. Its a really good cause!!!i love the idea Do you like your house? Do you like your stuff? Let me ask you this do you like anything about your current life or poessions because it will be gone if you invite these "ladies" into your life. |
