How many hours and/or days a week a neonatal nurse works? |
How many hours and/or days a week a neonatal nurse works? I am a retired nurse. I spent the last 20 years of my career working in a Neonatal Intensive Care unit. The unit in my hospital, as in most hospitals, worked 12 hr. shifts. Three days a week, 36 hours a week , was considered full time with benefits. There was usually a lot of overtime available. Almost all hospitals use 12 hr shifts in almost all parts of the hospital now. There were also part-time positions of 3 days every 2 weeks instead of 3 days each week. |
