Is there anyone who holds the information of a neonatal nurse?

i need to speak with someone who does this occupation or at least knows alot about it, i can't find any website who tell alot of detail!

My mom is a paediatrician and suggested:

www.nann.org (national association of neonatal nurses)

and I found this PDF about neonatal nursing as a career path: http://www.nann.org/files/public/Career_...

They aren't a substitute for speaking to an actual nurse, I bet, but in case you have trouble finding someone, hopefully they can guide you down the right path to find answers.

peace and best wishes

What do you need to know? Would you prefer to email me?

I have a girlfriend that was a NICU nurse for 7 years. Do you have a child in the NICU or are you interested in this position as a career? I know she started there right out of college. She took a full time position. Upon doing so, they put her in a 6 week "starter course". After that, she began in the unit. Normally there would be 2 patients to 1 nurse. She knew how to do everything (IV's, feeding tubes, intake, output, injections, and more). She worked 3 twelve hour shifts. She eventually left this job and did travel nursing. After 7 years, she burned out in this field and now works in another area of nursing.
Try to google: registered nurse then search through specialties. See if there is anything listed under neonatal intensive care unit.
