Is there anyone who holds the information of a neonatal nurse? |
i need to speak with someone who does this occupation or at least knows alot about it, i can't find any website who tell alot of detail! My mom is a paediatrician and suggested: What do you need to know? Would you prefer to email me? http://www.neonatal.org.uk/ I have a girlfriend that was a NICU nurse for 7 years. Do you have a child in the NICU or are you interested in this position as a career? I know she started there right out of college. She took a full time position. Upon doing so, they put her in a 6 week "starter course". After that, she began in the unit. Normally there would be 2 patients to 1 nurse. She knew how to do everything (IV's, feeding tubes, intake, output, injections, and more). She worked 3 twelve hour shifts. She eventually left this job and did travel nursing. After 7 years, she burned out in this field and now works in another area of nursing. |
