I need to ask a Neonatal nurse some questions for my health and medical class please.?

If you could e-mail me that would be great.
You need to be a neonatal nurse though.

Here are some of the questions just to give you an idea of what I'll need to know.

What are your major duties and responsibilities?
What do you like most/least about your career?
How many people do you work with in a single day on average?
Etc.

I have to have an interview but e-mail works for the interview.
This our biggest project so far so please e-mail me.
Serious people only, please.

Major Duties and responsibilities:
Care of 1-3 babies depending on acuity of baby.
Care includes: Ventilator care, lab draws, IV starts and care, IV fluid admin, Medication Admin, feedings, changing and weighing diapers, assisting mothers with breast feeding and pumping, family centered care (including the parents in the care of their baby), dressing changes, going to high risk deliveries, running codes (in my NICU we run all our own "code blues").

What I like most: working with families, seeing babies that were premature or needed surgery go home healthy, holding and bottle feeding babies, fast pace of NICU. Well paid.

Least: NICU can be very stressful and some days are very difficult, esp. when when babies die. Also, as a nurse, it is sometimes difficult to communicate with other staff members such as doctors, resp. therapists and lactation consultants.

On average I work with 12 other nurses, 2 respiratory therapists, 1-2 MDs (1 Neonatalogist and one resident), 1-3 babies and their families (generally mom, dad, siblings and grandma), one secretary and one nurse manager.

If you need more information email me through my yahoo answers profile.
