How do you call a nurse on Sunday? |
My baby has a temp and I need to know what dosage of Tylenol / Motrin is appropriate. UNDER 2 YEARS: CONSULT A DOCTOR...Why do you have to be so rude? Obviously, you NEED to get the right dosage from a doctor or nurse based on age, weight, etc. You can't just read the box. Call your doctor's office, if nobody is there, try a nurse help line from your local hospital. OR a pharmacist might be able to help. Telephone? Call up your local pharmacist. Or you can always contact the pediatrics ward at the hospital. They will have a nurse or a doctor there that can advise you. Read the bottle. you don't necessarily need a nurse. Dont panic - read the side of the bottle you can always try a ready-med or an after hours clinic.(after hours is half as expensive. Call your doc while prob isnt open and youll get an answering machine and one of the options will b to talk to either a doctor on call or nurse. That should be what you want. Is there an urgent care facility in your community? They are open on weekends. You might also try calling your pediatrician's office and leaving a message with the service. They will often call you back. Call the ER and ask to speak with a nurse. Thats what I do any ways you can always call the emergency room 24/7 and ask to speak to a nurse. also some insurance providers offer free call services to nurses on duty 24/7 Call the pharmacy- that is your best option. if you call the local hospital they should have a nurseline that will be more than happy to help you. :O) If I call my pediatrician's office and leave a message, it goes to an answering service. I can ask the person who answers to page the doctor or nurse, and they call me back. If your pediatrician does not have that, get a new doctor. I agree with 31 weeks.... if it is infant tylenol, it should have the dosage on the bottle of either one .8 dropperful, or 2 (for bigger babies). If it is childrens liquid tylenol, then I would just call a pharmacy, they have charts and go by the baby's weight. u could also probably google it. If you really want to talk to the babys dr., then just call the office, and they should have a # on the recording for u to get a hold of who's on call today. Hope baby's better soon! Nice nurse Jessica :( http://www.askdrsears.com/html/8/T089101... Can't you read the freaking instructions on the box? By her name.......just calllllllll |
