Pregnant with food posioning!Waiting for nurse to call me back. Has this happen to you? What did you do?

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and one hour after I ate a sonic grilled chicken wrap last night I started to have a bad stomach ach. I couldn't sleep trough the night and kept throwing up.

I am at the point where I am throwing up water. I cant keep anything down.

I have a doctors appointment this thursday. I called for advice today and they said they would have their nurse call me back with advice.

Has this happen to you? What did you do?

Oh dear i am sorry to hear this! You'll be sick for a few days but as long as you make sure you are getting enough water (and salt) you won't end up dehydrated and in the hospital. Gatorade and soup are the best things because they contain enough salt to help your body retain the fluids. Same with saltines, and all this should be easily digestible too. From now on avoid anything with mayo if it's not from your fridge. (Egg salad, chix salad, hamburger with mayo on it, etc.) I am so sorry for this unfortunate turn of events and hope you are feeling better~ damn sonics!

well i have had food poisoning 2 times one with my 1st preg and one with my current. really the only thing you can do and your'e ob would want you to do is go to the hospital and let them give you fluids so you dont become dehydrated. they will probably give you nausea meds and let you sleep it off and go home. not too much they can do.

Eww poor you...makes me never want to eat at Sonic again. Have you had diarrhea too?
I wonder if you got salmonella poisoning from the chicken.
If you can try & eat some yogurt it might help restore the normal good bacteria in your gut back to where it should be. Or you can always try acidophilus pills. If the nurse is consulting a doctor, the doc may decide to put you on anitiotics if the case seems severe enough.

This happened to me with cherries!!! OMG it was the worst thing ever I was also vomitting alot but I kept drinking alot of fluids and I just had to get rest! I hope you feel better

I got food poisoning at 12 weeks from Jimmy Johns tuna sandwich. I ended up losing 5 lbs because of it. There isn't much you can do. You don't need antibiotics. You just have to wait for it to get out of your system, same as if you weren't pregnant. You can take Zofran for the vomitting and they'll suggest somethign if you get diarhea. Other than that, try to keep down lots of fluids. I drank alot of gatorade and 7up. You'll feel better in a day or two. Doesn't usually last very long.

Hi, this haven't happened to me, thanks God, but I hope u get better soon and that the baby is ok. I'm 16 weeks pregnant and I try to get as much information as I can about pregnancy... I read that food poisoning can be bad for the baby, I think when is salmonella, you should ask the doctor about this... And one more thing if I were you I will be sueing (to sue) Sonics, I hope u do so and get some compensation for your pain and emotional suffering!!!!
This big chain dont care what they feed us with.
