Rotten nurse who to call? |
Im having problems with a nurse,I have severe latex allergy everytime i go get my treatment she tries to touch me with latex gloves who can I call please help Coffee is right, latex gloves are rarely used in hospitals, clinics and Dr's offices. The reasons are because, many of us who need to glove end up with rashes on our hands....and of course some of our clientle are extremely allergic to latex. I haven't seen a latex glove in my hospital in a few years. Talk to the nurse who takes care of you regarding the type of gloves she is using. If she says they are not latex free gloves, then find out who the manager or boss is and talk to that person....explain your latex allergy. If you still do not find help, then talk to a lawyer.....a letter to the medical facility is usually enough to make a change. Document the talks you have and the people you have talked to trying to resolve the problem. Just make sure that you know the type of gloves that this medical facility is using {{{BEFORE}}} you push the effort to change the problem. You need to tell her. And refuse to let her touch you until she takes the latex gloves off. You don't have to let her touch you, when you know it will hurt her. Just tell her. And if she does it anyway, it is malpractice. Are you sure the gloves are latex? Is it the doctor's nurse? Talk to the doctor. At a hospital, talk to her supervisor, and go thru chain of command. Does the nurse know you are allergic? |
