My mother is 80 y/o & bipolar schizoid affective. She is not taking? |
her meds for anything. She had a stroke last week and refused medical treatment I have not been able to get her to a doctor in months. Commitment is a rough process for someone her age. and was told they may not take her because of her age. Any suggestions? We are trying conservatorship but the doctor is slow signing the papers and may not since she was only seen there by the the nurse practitioner. May not be to helpful to hear this but she's 80. You can't preserve someones life forever so why cause yourself and your Mum so much anxiety. I'm sure her behaviour is difficult to manage but maybe she's just had enough? Maybe she just needs to be surrounded by people who love her and will look after her, i was sectioned recently (UK equivalent of commital) and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. |
