Ok question? |
So im a guy and I want to be a nurse practitioner, but my dad has always wanted me to become a doctor. He has basically lost respect for me and says it my face. So im nothing to him anymore. How do I tell him to shut the **** up and let me do what I want? without being disrepectful, because I still respect him even thought he rather have no son at all. It may be easier, and less confrontational, to write a respectful, yet truthful letter. Explain to him why you prefer to be a nurse practitioner, rather than a doctor. He may not know the difference, and why you would choose that field. You need to follow your dreams because you are the one who will be doing the job! go for it, do what you want to do and your father will eventually get over it! |
