Which one would you rather go to.....?

A Nurse Practitioner or A Physician Assistant?

Why would you....?
Pros Cons?
Only for certain problems?

A nurse practioner for sure......for the simple reason that they have far more formal education. Most have completed their Master's Degree in Nursing and can offer a broad range of health care services, including diagnosis and management of medical conditions.

They can also order diagnostic tests and physical therapy.

Many have a DEA registration number that allows them
to write prescriptions for federally-defined "controlled medications".

A physician's assistant, although a valuable member of the health care team, is not as educated or as versatile.

I just want someone to make it stop burning when I pee.

I don't care what you call them.

I've used both, and for pretty much everything from colds to having stitches. They're great!
