Please help. Experience/opinions?Pregnancy? |
I am 8 wks 3 days. At my last trans vaginal ultrasound, the nurse practitioner said that the "fetal plole" was so blurry that she couldn't tell if it was a fetal pole at all. I had a quantitative HCG blood test done which said my numbers are going up but not doubling. Doctor says this can mean I'm going to miscarry or that I'm one of the 15% of women who's numbers grow steadily rather than double. If it is a blighted ovem, when will I miscarry? It has been 2 wks since then and no signs of miscarriage I think that you should call your doc to see if they can check you again. Most docs don't mind doing extra ultrasounds/bloodwork if it means easing your mind. I almost lost my twins when I was 13 weeks and the doc did an ultrasound at least once a week to ease my mind. Call them, see what they can do I had an vaginal ultrasound at 11 weeks and they found no fetal pole, just a gestational sac with a yolk sac. They checked my HCG levels over the next two days and they were low but not dropping. I had another ultrasound at 13 weeks and again nothing, so it was a blighted ovum (even though there is debate whether it is a true blighted ovum because of the yolk sac). |

good god no...ect can kill you..put you in a comma...cause permant memory loss..cause complete short term memory loss would you stick you finger in a plug socket... my doc wanted me to do it ... I had to wait a whole month after my missed period for my HPT to be positive. Talk about frustrating, all the tests were negative leading up to that one. Ask the dr. for a blood test and tell them ... i would say keep your appt, and when you see an ob/gyn it should always be the same person, i have had the same Gyno for the last 4 years. get a new doc ...Yes, you certainly can, I had no idea until I dug into this a little. Why do you have to go back every week though, what I do is just get a one/two month supply with refills. Just see someone once... I see no reason why you cant TTC again right away, your miscarriage was natural and uncomplicated. ...Where I live (US), I have gone to a general practitioner for a lot of it. Actually, right before I had my first baby I could have done everything local without seeing a gyno, but my family doc left... A nurse practioner for sure......for the simple reason that they have far more formal education. Most have completed their Master's Degree in Nursing and can offer a broad range of health car... You should have a number of questions on hand (I suggest writing on a piece of paper ready to take notes). To be a well-informed patient, you need -- and have the right -- to know certain things... |
