I am 22 weeks pregnant now but I had a biopsi taken on my cervix...?

about 3 months before I conceived due to an abnormal pap smear. The biopsi turned up mild dysplasia and my doctor said we would just check this again at my next visit for pap smear as this usually goes away on it's own. I then got pregnant and the nurse practitioner said this is nothing to worry about at all and instead of waiting 6 months (because I will be pregnant) they will just do another biopsi at my 6 week check up after birth. It turns up after my last visit, all the sudden my OBGYN (1 of 4) wants to do another biopsi due to my pap smear 'history' which was only one time. Is this safe to do during pregnancy?!?!!? I mean he said we couldn't if my uterus was right at my cervix but would otherwise...I really don't want to do this again right now due to the pregnancy and I mean the only other option to get rid of the mild displsia was to freeze my cervix which I don't think you can do during pregnancy so what is the point exactly? Just need some advice if any of you know!! Tahnks!!

A reason a woman would get mild displasia is due to contracting the HPV virus which I was tested for and do not have. So I still see no point.

They just want to make sure your dysplasia has not turned into Cancer. Your better off listening to your doctors and doing what they say. They want what is best for you and will not do anything to hurt your baby or damage your pregnancy.

I would ask him what, if anything, can be done while you are still pregnant? Seems pointless to me as well to do a biopsy during pregnancy since they can't do anything until after you deliver anyway. Get a second opinion as well, outside of the practice you are in. Any messing around with the cervix during pregnancy has the potential of putting you into premature labor. If you do want to go ahead, PLEASE, go to a high risk ob/gyn.

Don't worry! Getting another pap or doing a biopsy will not harm the baby at all. They probably want to make sure that everything will go smoothly for you when you do have the baby. They will want to make sure that what ever is causing the dysplasia doesn't "flare up" or affect the baby! If you have concerns talk to your doctor about them. That is what they are there for!!
