2 positive pregnancy tests and negative blood work??

I recently took two pregnancy tests.. both were home pregnancy tests. first one was like a week ago so I waited, 2nd one was thursday. Both showed a faint positive. I called the dr and they didn't see me in the office but called the lab to have me have blood work done.. I even showed them to a friend of mine who is a nurse practitioner and she said any indication would indicate pregnancy and especially considering it was two different tests. Well anyway I had the blood work done and they said it was negative... I am totally confused now.. I still haven't started my period either I am like a week late.. What SHOULD i DO?? Please help!

More than one woman has delivered a healthy, full-tern baby nine months after a negative blood test. Wait a few days and ask to be retested. If you still haven't gotten your period and you sincerely feel that you are pregnant, make an appointment with your OB. It's possible (but rare) to get a negative test and still be pregnant.

I would have the blood work done again.

good luck!

Just wait another week or two. - If your period still doesn't come, see the drs again. (Or another Doctor.) There is always the chance somebody confused the blood-tests in the lab.

Ask the gyno to conduct a urine pregnancy.

Wait a week and go back to do the blood work again if you haven't seen your doctor by then. But generally I would believe a blood test over a urine test.

wait a week and have the blood work done again

Are you sure the pregnancy tests were positive lines and not evaporation lines? Did you read the tests within the time frame? If you read the tests outside of the time frame then its probably an evaporation line. Its where the line would normally be but very light.
