How should I choose my OBGYN?

I am trying to conceive and I currently go to the OBGYN every year for a routine PAP, but I always see the Nurse Practitioner. Obviously I will need to choose an OBGYN for when I'm pregnant, but how do I choose? There are about 6 OBGYN's in this office. I was thinking of making an appointment with the NP and asking her opinion since she knows me so well and would probably know who would be a good fit for me and my husband and baby to be......any thoughts?

if the nurse parctitioner is a mid wife also you could continue seeing her. I went to one group and i saw a different DR every time. (good thing was I knew everyone there and felt comforatable with who ever would be there when i delivered (cause its not always your OB), the bad thing was telling them all the same info every time)

With my second I interveiwed the OB who would be there if anything went wrong and just saw a midwife again.

Here I had the option of seeing a midwife or OB and am seeing a midwife.

Good idea.

well you should be able to see their backrounds where they have worked and were they study and then think about witch one you would feel to tslking and looking at you down there

most of all, you should feel confortable with a gyno. Some women feel more confortable with a femal gyno. You should be able to talk to your gyno and he/she has to know how to listen and take time for you.
