I know a lil boy who has cancer ( had a 25% chance of living) and is now doing wonderfully. Some say it was? |
...prayer that healed him. There must've been a few hundred thousand people praying for this boy. ( I live in a small city, now, and his Mom is a nurse practitioner at a large hospital who knows everyone in town, it seems!) If they took him off the medicine, how long would he survive? People praying has an effect of renewing his strength to live on, but other than that, it's all a matter of faith. royrox, you need to post this under religion and spirituality under society, you will get much better responses than the ones I see here. I think the doctors - nurses and medicine need more praise. It is medicine. while prayer can add a psychological component and give the child mental stamina to survive, it is the treatment and biology at work. From personal experience, prayer is that powerful because God is that powerful. I almost died at age 22 due to complications from a minor surgery - and I believe I was healed because of God providing healing to my body. God hears all prayers and answers them according to what His perfect will is - sometimes He says Yes, sometimes No, and sometimes He wants us to wait and trust Him. I know that prayer is that strong! My daughter also had a condition that was incurable. She is now strong and doing very well. If this wasn't a public forum, I would tell the story, but I do not feel comfortable sharing here. She is a miracle in skin! I believe in the power of prayer. I believe doctors help but it is God that knows our will & fate. Continue to pray for the lil boy, continue to pray for the family's stregnth, continue to pray for the lil boy's doctors, continue to pray for everything that surrounds/ impacts this lil boy & his health. I think it was the medicene and his belief that he will survive. I think that the prayers showed him that people believed that he would survive and made him believe that he could overcome the cancer; I think thats all the prayers did. I also think that the boy had a strong will to surivive also helped. |
