I have two anatomy and physiology questions that I need help with!?

Please help with these two A&P questions! Thank you!

1) Mr Smith comes in to see the Nurse Practitioner. He reports that he fell off a ladder and grabbed a tree branch with his right hand, but unfortunately lost his grip and fell on the ground. A few days later he had complains of upper limb numbness. What was damaged during the fall?

2) A football quarterback suffered a torn menisci in his right knee joint when tackled from the side. The same injury crushed his fibular nerve against the head of the fibula. What locomotor problems did Jordan have after this?

1. Possibly a brachial plexus injury, but the information is too general. Where is the numbess in the upper limb? Dermatome and motor testing would help identify the specific damage.

2. Drop foot - he will not be able to dorsiflex or evert his foot. Nobody calls it the fibular nerve anymore - peroneal nerve is the more updated term. Menisci injuries may cause recurrent knee-catching, locking of the joint, and the person may be unable to fully extend or flex their knee. They may also complain that they 鈥渃an鈥檛 trust knee鈥?to bear weight.

for first question I think his axillary nerve plexus had problems depends on the area of numbness either median nerve brachial nerve, etc may be damaged.

2.the latteral region of his leg and foot may have numbness. extention and eversion in wrist will have problems because fibular nerve is the nerve for extensors and evertor muscles of foot.
