Anyone had this problem? I'm 29. I found a lump in my breast last night.?

It's not sore. It feels round, hard, and about the size of a pencil eraser. I got in to see a nurse practitioner today, and she said it was probably nothing to worry about, but scheduled me for a mammogram just to make sure since I'd never had a lump before. I'm still worried and my mammogram is two weeks away. Anyone have any advice?

Do you have early breast cancer in your history? If not, don't be too concerned. It's not terribly common in your 20s. It's more likely to be a benign cyst. But even if it IS cancer, it's teeny tiny and you caught it early. Good for you for doing your self exams! If they thought it was serious, they'd have you in right away.

if it moves around freely it is most likely a fibroadenoma, or a cyst. i am 24 and have had a fibroadenoma for over a year. when i found it it was a little larger than a walnut, but has gotten smaller. the doc said it should go away on its own, and is not harmful, most likely due to horomonal changes.

Dont worry, but when you get a lump near your breast, its usually breast cancer, but hopefully you dont...this is genetic....pray u dont have it hun :) good luck

dont worry about i hahad the same problem a few months ago and it was just a cist. you willl probably have to get a biopsy done on your breast which can be very painful and frightning.
