I have never found this to be true. There are people in either profession who are warm and friendly, and there are people in either professions who are cold, stuck up, etc. I do not feel it has ... NPs cannot usually prescribe narcotics and controlled substances, but this depends on the state they work in. They should not prescribe a drug that they are not familiar with or is for a complex... The real answer is that it varies from doc to doc. PAs can't work without a doctor there, and NPs can work independently and set up clinics and get their own patients (in the state I live in).... you should try try and check in with your local V.A hospitals because different hospital chains pay more or less than others , depending on were you live . you should go on this website they ha... There are alot of options for scheduling. You can choose to work in a doctors office and work 8-5 Mon-Fri but the pay is less and probably fewer benefits. You can choose float pool in a hospital ... Sometimes. ...The insurance companies (both medical insurance and especially malpractice insurance) are making it so it is not practical... when you have to spend THAT MUCH money and time to become a Dr, the pay...
