Can Nurse Practitioners practice on their own in their own office, or do they have to have dr. supervision???

specifically in the state of texas....

I don't know the specific laws of Texas, but there are many states and provinces where you can have your own office. Quoting Monster.com, "Depending on state laws, you may need a supervising or collaborating physician." So it is possible to work alone, but it all depends. I am a nursing student by the way, and have done a lot of research on this myself.

This site is helpful in explaining how to become a nurse practitioner, it is an American site too: http://content.monster.com/articles/3496...

they work under a doctor
