What's the difference between a physician's assistant and a nurse practitioner?

What's the difference between a physician's assistant and a nurse practitioner?

physician's assistant has an AS ~ 1 to 2 years of training.

nurse practitioner is a real nurse with a BS or AS and 2~3 years of nursing school.

In medicine really matters is their level of experience I would rather be treated by a Pa with 15years of experience verse NP with 6 months of experience.

WELL A PHYSICIANS ASSISTANT IS AN ASSISTANT AND A NURSE PRACTITIONER IS A NURSE.

nurse practitioners actually know what they are doing. phys assistants are lame, you risk your health talking to one.
a phys assistant just told my freind who is 5'6" and 105 lbs that she is fat. what a jerk!

A nurse practitioner has almost the same ed. requirements as the Dr. The Dr. can train his own assistant if he wants to. BUCKS $$$$$$ Are way different too!!

lexy, am a physician and i dont even know. they all do the same thing anyway.
