What branch of the service is the safest for a nurse practitioner? |
I am a CRNP specializing in electro-physiology. I would love to join the Air Force..or would the Navy be safer? Oh boy. If you're a nurse you are going to the front lines where it is happening. That is where you are needed so that is where you are going. Now quit being a coward. I was Navy and I think both are OK. It has been years since a nurse has been killed in combat, so I believe any branch is rather safe for nurses. Consider joining the Navy, their medical staff usually have higher rank than other branches. Air Force or Navy I have no idea what your specialization is, but the Air Force is usually "safer." The Navy also provides medical for the Marines. If you want to be safe, better stay in school. However, Iraq is safer than a lot of American inner cities. PRC nurse |
