What exactly is a Nurse Practitioner? The reason I ask because everytime I go to my family health clinic that? |
is who I get to see and to me she don't know what she talking about. You tell her your back hurts she says maybe it your mattress, you tell her your head hurts she says maybe it's because you look a TV in bed with your head prop wrong. She never does any test or x-rays. She don't touch you, and can't even get a correct blood pressure reading. She told me my blood pressure was up after checking my second arm and gave me some water pills,I'm kinda of afraid to take them because she don't seem to confident in what she is talking about and she has to get paid $85. a visit to tell you what you could have looked up on the web. I want a refund from her. I be glad when Bush past the bill for people that have no Health Insurance to get it without paying the other taxes out of you paycheck. Nurse Practioners are at an advanced level of nursing. They provide basic primary healthcare. They diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries. Nurse Practioners can prescribe medications. Nurse Practioners meet higher educational and clinical practice requirements beyond the basic nursing education and licensing required of all RN's. Nurse practitioners are almost doctors. They can diagnose, prescribe, etc. Unfortunately, it looks like you got stuck with a crappy one. go here://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nurse_pract... A nurse practitioner is a nurse with a master's degree who is trained to diagnose and treat illnesses at much the same way a doctor does. A lot of health plans use them because they are cheaper than a good old doctor. but if you don't have faith in yours, ask your health plan if there is someone else you can use. |
