Nurse practitioner versus physician assistant.?

Plesase give any information or reference you know.
Thanks.

A lot depends on the state you're in. But as a rule, they can do mostly the same things.

Nurse Practioners are trained in the nursing model, PA's in the medical model. What this means is that they often look at the same problem from different perspectives.

One isn't BETTER than the other. It depends in the individual NP/PA.

PA's often work in a wide variety of specialties. NPs usually only work in a handful.

a phys. asst. is not comparable to nurse prac.

they can write prescrip, give medical advice, stand in for a dr.(for checkups)
