Do you believe that doctors and nurses enjoy treating ailing people?

Do you believe that their salaries are a good reason to treat people without bias?

I read a blind poll in New York Magazine of health care professionals (doctors and nurses) located in the metro-NY area that actually mentioned that an overwhelming majority go into the healthcare profession because they want to do good for their patients.

As medicare and medicaid and insurers are largely making the medical profession less profitable for all except the most prominent doctors (rising cost of insurance, capped repayment), or for those who don't accept insurance, I feel it's less money motivated.

Also, remember that when you include the cost and time commitment of the training to become a doctor, PA, or nurse, there are probably less labor intensive ways of making money these days.

Not everyone loves what they do. Im sure there are many who do it just for the money. So this may be a tough call. I think Doctors are more or less aware of their patients and caring, since they did chose the field. But when i go to doctor visits and nurses be so stank i get upset like hello! did u not know this is what u was gonna be doing all day....so mmmh they get paid real good their customer svc should be elite lol even if yea its in a hospital or clinic.

If doctors didn't enjoy their job's purpose, they wouldn't have been in school for, basically a decade. And since their in a social job, they're meant to not be bias, despite the salary.

I think they enjoy treating people because deep down they like making people feel better but wouldnt you like to have that satifatcation to know that u made somebody better but of course there are those assholes who think they are god almightey and think they do what they want.

Nurses enjoy hurting people.You ever need stitches ? Nurses LOVE to be VERY rough on open wounds,they get a kick out of seeing people suffer.

Some they enjoy some they do not. Patients are like everyone else there are nice ones and there are some not so nice. Their oath requires them to treat patients without bias. It however does not require them to like a patient.

They probably don't enjoy it, but if there weren't anybody to help, they would be out of a job...

some wants only the good pay but there are also some who finds joy in caring for the sick

90% of the time healthcare people want to do good. Sometimes it is over whelming and they need to release some frustrations. We are human

Hey DVS, I would advise you to stay over here and worry about stitches hurting, which they don't if your a man; rather than calling someone rednecks and run off with your tail between your legs.
