How much do playgroup assistants earn per year? |
i am thinking of doing an apprenticeship in childcare (i know apprentices earn 拢80 p/week as i am an apprenticeship in business atm!) but i would like to know what the salary is of a qualified playgroup assistant or nursery nurse. You wouldn't do child care for the money....it has to be because you love the work, and want to make a difference to children's lives. i'm not from England so i have no idea of wages but if you are passionate about childcare then you should do it. We need more passionate people, dont do it for the money Minimum wage at the nursery I work in, unless you are a supervisor. You don't go into childcare for the money. But i have to say that I enjoy my job immensely and wouldn't do anything else. Job satisfaction is more important than money. well i'm in east anglia our releif staff are 5,50 per hour level 2 6.25 level 3 7.00 room supervisor 8.50. we are lucky as numbers of children are good and i know we are one of the best paid pre-scools in lincolnshire and we are a registered charity and voluntary so the money that we make goes back into our centre but must say your heart really does have to be in it it is very hard work but the rewards you get out of it is in itself truly wonderfull from seing a little worlwind at 2 yrs old to a light swithch turning on and the child being totally different at 3. good luck with what you do.xx The pay can vary depending on which area you are working in but dont do it just for the money because you will find that most places don't pay good enough wages |
