Calling all midwives/nurses!!? |
Hi, im an aspiring nurse/midwife. and i would love it if somone from australia who is a qualified nurse or midwife could please tell me how many hours they work, how much they get paid an hour, and their leave annual salary and so forth just so that i can get an idea. coz i really wanna be a midwife. plz also if ur gunna leave mean comments dnt bother writing them coz i dnt read them. I work in the health field in the US but my advice would be to go to a local hospital and ask a midwife or "labor and delivery" nurse. I assume you're still in school/college so I would use that as my guise. Many people do not like to talk to strangers but if you say that it's for a school project then you can get many answers to your questions. Midwives are very busy but they are either paid through a company, doctor's office or private billing. Getting a hold of one will be tricky since they work all hours (babies don't stop for breakfast). A nurse working the triage in a delivery center might be more willing to give you a few minutes. |
