Should NHS be spending 13 billion pounds on a computer system? |
Don't you think higher salaries for nurses and cleaners might be a better idea? Based on the cost of hardware, software, servers, network installation, etc.etc. X the number of hospitals etc involved, I just cannot comprehend what they have to spend 13 BILLION pounds on. 13 MILLION maybe. Someone is getting ripped off big time, I guess it will be the tax payer yet again. It probably wont work anyway and will be scrapped in a year. Why do we stand for this???!!!! Time to up and revolt. 13 billion are you off your rocker labour think so. Either that or using the money to get clinic waiting times down. I have to wait from August till January or Feb next year to attend the pain clinic. Until I can be seen by them I am unable to work and I don't qualify for benefits! I work for the NHS on there computer systems and I can tell you now it is a seriously rubbish system and doesnt work properly as we are constantly fixing problems . big waste of money No it should be spent on patient care plus wages of staff no they should not spend that much on computers and if nurses really cared about their patients they wouldn't want a pay rise same with the cleaners.. instead of the motto that used to be WE ALL STAND TOGETHER it's now become EVERYMAN FOR HIMSELF Don't think so but then they always manage to spend an awful lot. Part of the problem is nepotism - the rest is my mates got this company that wants to rip us off and he is giving me a share of the profits to retire on. It will all get glossed over by a grossly over-funded public enquiry and we will all be expected to forget about it until the next funding scandal. If your facts are correct, it is a disgrace. 13 billion is a bit much for a computer system. Where did you get this from.? i think that are huge flaws with the NHS throughout. spending ridiculous amounts of money on computers that probably wont be maintained properly is ludicrous!!!! No it shouldn't!!! It should be spent on treatment for the people who pay for the service!! When the NHS was at it's best computers weren't even invented......It's time to go back to basics...sack the pen pushers and bring in more doctors and nurses!!.........Oh and ban (Or at least make pay) people who have not paid into the system from using it! yes |
